What we do

Neuro Developmental Therapy

Is your child struggling at school, experiencing challenges with balance and co-ordination, or showing signs that something might be amiss?

These issues could be linked to developmental delays and immature reflexes.

A customised exercise program may offer a solution, giving your child's nervous system the opportunity to develop and thrive.

Neuro Developmental Therapy (NDT) is a non-invasive, movement-based programme designed to support children with developmental delays.

Our primary goal is to encourage the development of the brain and central nervous system while addressing retained primitive reflexes

Every child is born with a set of primitive reflexes that should be inhibited or controlled by a higher part of the brain within the first year of life.

Failure to inhibit these reflexes can hinder subsequent motor development, visual functioning necessary for tasks like reading and writing and hand-eye co-ordination. Additionally, it can lead to behavioural challenges, frustration, fear, anxiety, poor concentration and impulse control issues.

Here at NDT Inishowen, we specialise in identifying and treating the physical factors that contribute to specific learning difficulties, underachievement and behavioural problems.

We follow the INPP (Institute for Neuro-Physiological Psychology) Method.

INPP has been a pioneer in researching the effects of neuro developmental immaturity on learning and behaviour since its establishment in 1975.

The organisation continues to study the impacts of retained primitive reflexes and has successfully assisted numerous children worldwide.

Our aim is to maximise potential.
